We’re only a few hours away from the Royal Rumble which means that WrestleMania season is upon us. After tonight we should have a much better idea of what we can expect from the Show of Shows and it looks like plans are set for a major title match.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair is currently set for WrestleMania 38.

It’s likely that an angle will take place at the Royal Rumble tonight either during the women’s Royal Rumble match, or after that will set things in motion for WrestleMania. Current SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is set to compete in the Royal Rumble match and she has declared that if she wins she will choose her opponent for WrestleMania 38.

Ronda Rousey’s entourage was spotted in St. Louis yesterday and there is reportedly talk of Rousey appearing on Monday’s episode of Raw. It’s being said that Rousey is back for a substantial run and that she will be part of SmackDown, but may appear on Raw from time to time to help boost ratings.

WWE putting Ronda Rousey on the blue brand is said to be the company’s way of throwing a major bone to FOX as the network had hoped for both Ronda and Brock Lesnar to be regulars on SmackDown.

Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey was discussed for WrestleMania 38, but the decision was made to put Rousey on SmackDown. Rousey vs. Lynch is said to be the favorite for WrestleMania next year.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
