A lot of moves have been made in the world of professional wrestling recently and now it seems that WWE will have to deal with a big departure. PWInsider is reporting that Kevin Dunn is set to part ways with WWE. Dunn held the title of Executive Producer & Chief, Global Television Distribution, and he reportedly told the company around Christmas week that he would be leaving. Kevin Dunn has worked for WWE for more than three decades.

It’s being said that internal changes following the Endeavor acquisition were a big factor when it comes to his decision to leave. One source stated that Kevin Dunn was “never going to do anything that was dictated” to him as opposed to how he personally oversaw production in the past. The word is that this isn’t a creative issue, but there are different views on how things should be run when it comes to TV production, and Endeavor is also looking to cut costs.

Over the last few years there have been rumors of Kevin Dunn’s departure. However, at no point did the company ever ask Dunn to leave. When Vince McMahon retired initially in 2022 the WWE Board of Directors asked Kevin Dunn to stay on. Over the years there have been whispers that Dunn never intended to work for anyone but Vince McMahon.

It’s believed that Dunn’s departure will have massive ramifications as he was responsible for the vibe, feel and production of the WWE product over the last several decades.

There’s no word on who will be replacing Kevin Dunn, but there’s speculation that it will be a mix of people who will take on Dunn’s responsibilities. As of late Kevin Dunn had stepped back a bit in order to let others handle more responsibilities which is something he may have done because he knew he was planning to leave the company.
