AJ Styles made an immediate impact when he joined the WWE main roster in January of 2016, and he also brought his friends Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson with him.

It wasn’t long before AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson started working together on WWE programming, but their alliance came to an end when WWE drafted AJ Styles to SmackDown in 2016.

Luke Gallows recalled AJ’s reaction to the split during an appearance on the Generation of Wrestling podcast, and he made it clear that The Phenomenal One was not happy with the decision.

“They put us with Finn for a little bit on RAW. We weren’t on any show with him very much at all, other than a couple of months on RAW. He was there, we were on SmackDown at one point, I think he was back in NXT. We were with AJ a lot. We did The Club with AJ, and then when they split The Club up they didn’t tell AJ or us. He was really p****d off, and we went to the other show [RAW].”

Even though AJ Styles was separated from his friends ultimately the split worked out as AJ went on to win his first WWE Championship after being drafted to SmackDown. Styles, Gallows and Anderson later reunited in 2019, but unfortunately Gallows and Anderson were released in 2020.
