Liv Morgan has taken over the WWE women’s division over the last few years and she won the Women’s World Championship back in April when she defeated Stephanie Vaquer on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Morgan has been holding the WWE Women’s World Championship for over 100 days, and she recently made it clear that she’s hoping to hold the belt for a very long time while speaking with ESPN.
“I’d love to keep my streak going. Like you said, I am 2-0 at SummerSlam. I have a great track record, so I’d love to keep that going. But most importantly, I want to retain my Women’s World Championship. I am over 100 days as champion, and I want to make it 1,000 days as champion.
So, retaining this weekend and defeating Iyo Sky, one of the best in the world, reminding everyone just exactly who I am in that ring. I’m very much looking forward to that opportunity.”
Liv will be putting her title on the line this weekend when she defend the Women’s World Championship against Iyo Sky at SummerSlam. It was recently confirmed that their match will take place during night 1 of the big event and you can get the full lineup for both nights here.
