WWE has gone through some major changes over the last few days as Vince McMahon officially announced his retirement on Friday. Following Vince McMahon’s announcement it was revealed that Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan will serve as Co-CEO for the company.
The news came as a big surprise to the wrestling world, and during an interview with The Mirror current SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan noted that the changes shocked the locker room.
“We were all shocked. And it felt sudden. But we all owe so much to Vince. So if he felt like it was time, then it was time. We’re also excited to be working with Stephanie and Nick [Khan, the other co-CEO). Stephanie was born into this business, so there’s literally no one better for the job than her. We’re all so excited and we’re just ready to go to work. We’re all just ready to take it to the next level.”
It was also announced on Monday that Triple H will be taking over WWE creative, and Morgan showed support for The Game when she said, “We’re excited. We’re in great hands.”
