When fans last saw Lio Rush he was working as Bobby Lashley’s mouthpiece on Monday Night Raw, and he quickly became one of the most infamous talkers on the red brand.
It’s been a while since fans have seen Lio Rush on WWE programming, but he made his return to the ring on Wednesday when he faced off against Oney Lorcan.
The fans seemed happy to see Lio Rush and he received a “welcome back” chant while making his entrance.
At one point Oney Lorcan hulked up and charge at Lio Rush, but Rush countered with a Spanish Fly then hit a Dragon’s Call from the top rope for the win.
Rush is now the number one contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
