It’s been rumored for a while now that WWE is planning to break up the League of Nations, and Alberto Del Rio recently confirmed that the group will indeed be going their separate ways. Del Rio spoke to Solo Wrestling to talk about WWE’s recent show in Malaga, Spain and he was asked about the group’s future.

“We as a group have never worked very well, so we decided that it is better to separate.” Del Rio said. “I think Bray Wyatt is hurt, is injured on the tour, and all this will come to nothing, ”

Alberto Del Rio was also asked if he’s interested in joining another team or moving ahead as a singles competitor. He indicated that he doesn’t want to join another faction and that he has his sights set on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The League of Nations recently kicked out King Barrett and it’s rumored that he will be parting ways with WWE when his contract expires in June. After kicking out Barrett the group moved on as a trio and they transitioned into a feud with The Wyatt Family, but obviously that feud won’t be happening now that Bray Wyatt is injured.

According to Alberto Del Rio, the League of Nations will be breaking up and it sounds the split will be happening sooner than later. What direction would you like to see Alberto Del Rio take once he’s out on his own again? Should he be a face or heel? Who should he feud with? Sound off in the comments below.
