WWE is extremely territorial with their talent, and while representatives from WWE such as William Regal and Robby Brookside said after the announcement of the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament that WWE won’t restrict talent, apparently they still has some restrictions.
The planned IPW Supershow VI has experienced some of these limitations as they announced on their Facebook: “Unfortunately in the early hours of this morning we learnt that due to contractual obligations with the WWE, certain wrestlers will be unable to appear on our FloSlam live broadcast this Sunday, namely in this instance, Pete Dunne and Joseph Conners.”
Fans in Mexico have begun to receive a survey from WWE inquiring about their interest in certain local promotions and interest in a tournament style show. This might lend some credence to the rumors that WWE officials are looking to start more tournaments based in different regions in the future.
Another rumor making the rounds is that Mickey James’ first rivalry upon entering the main roster will be against Becky Lynch. Cagesideseats reports that this feud isn’t expected to last until WrestleMania, but whoever is paired up against Nikki Bella is the most likely candidate to get on the WrestleMania 33 card in April.
