Both Layla and Richie Steamboat are still under contract to WWE. Although it was reported a few months ago that Richie Steamboat had been released, that is apparently not the case. He’s still out of action due to a back injury that could be career-ending. It’s been speculated that Layla is out due to medical reasons or some kind of injury but The Wrestling Observer reports that she’s dealing with personal issues.
