WWE Battleground is only a few hours away (unless you’re reading this after the fact just to see if the betting odds were correct). Fans are very excited to see another Punjabi Prison Match. Although matches like Corbin vs Nakamura and Owens vs Styles are highlights too.
There is also a Flag Match which is an interesting gimmick because of the unusual way in which a winner is determined. John Cena is the odds-on favorite to win though which some could speculate might mean a lackluster return projected for Rusev.
Each champion is favored to retain their titles. Some are under the impression Jinder Mahal will keep his WWE Championship until they tour India. That tour was supposed to be in September but it looks like they’re still currently working on it.
Mike Kanellis is projected to win over Sami Zayn which would make sense if they’re going to present him as a viable heel that can win matches. But Shinsuke Nakamura is favored over Baron Corbin. The Lone Wolf might be Mr. Money In The Bank but he could take a loss here before cashing in his briefcase, whenever he chooses to do that.
The most interesting match is the fatal five-way to determine the #1 contender for the SmackDown Women’s Title. Natalya was second to last in the betting pool until yesterday when for some reason a slew of people started putting bets on her. Tamina is still last in the betting odds, but Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the fatal five-way had to be closed off to betting for a short time yesterday due to the overwhelming influx of people betting for The Queen Of Harts.
