Kurt Angle is Jason Jordan’s father, but that’s not really news. It’s not really a good thing either seeing how WWE audiences have seemed to sour on the story so quickly.

Sure, there were tons of memes created about the topic and some of them were really funny. You should follow us on Facebook because Still Real To Us has had some good ones. But Dave Meltzer noted in a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE might have bitten off more than they can chew with this one.

“[Jason Jordan’s] good but it didn’t feel like it should have felt, not at all,” Meltzer observed. “It’s still early but, I mean I just felt like — the thing to me that’s really obvious on this one is that nobody buys it. But that’s necessarily bad because it could be one of those things where you ironically buy it. I saw no evidence of that at all where people would be like, ‘we’re smart and we’re gonna be good fans and pretend because this is so silly.’ I mean I go no — cause that was the best shot this thing had is that type of a reaction and I got none of that.”

“You know you had your, whatever it was 5% of the crowd is trying to cheer because they know they’re supposed to and the rest of them are like ‘this is — we’re not buying this at all.’ It was not — I mean it’s early but week two is the same as week one. I mean it was not an encouraging sign from the audience.”

If things don’t pick up for the Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan story soon WWE might be forced to call an audible. But for the time being Jordan is enjoying his new push and Angle is cherishing any opportunity to reconnect with his long-lost baby boy.

  1. I wanted it to be real. At least they do look a like. I think you are wrong and it’s just the general racist WWE audience keeping it from being a great work
