Over the years fans have seen several wrestlers make the jump to acting and find success such as The Rock, John Cena and Dave Bautista. Kurt Angle has also appeared in his fair share of movies, and it sounds like he has a decent amount of interest in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
During a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show the WWE Hall of Famer explained that he actually got Kevin Feige’s contact information from Jon Bernthal who plays The Punisher, but nothing ever came of him reaching out to Feige.
“I’ve tried many times. It’s not that easy. I ended up getting [Kevin Feige’s] contact information. I reached out to him and told him that I’d be interested in doing a Marvel movie, and he actually responded to me, but nothing ever came of it. I got it from my nephew-in-law, Jon Bernthal. He actually gave me his contact information. So I talked to him, but unfortunately, nothing has occurred since then.”
Angle wouldn’t be the first wrestler to act in the MCU as Dave Bautista famously plays Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, and Becky Lynch was reportedly set for a role in Eternals which was ultimately scrapped.
