It’s been a while since fans have seen The Rock compete in a WWE ring as he last wrestled at WrestleMania 32 when he defeated Erick Rowan in a match that lasted only 6 seconds. Prior to that he faced off against John Cena at WrestleMania 29 in the main event which saw Cena pick up the win.

It’s no big secret that WWE has been hoping to get The Rock back for another match on the Grandest Stage of Them All and it was rumored that the company was hoping to book Rock vs. Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 39.

Ultimately The Rock didn’t return to the ring at WrestleMania 39, but Kurt Angle noted during a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show that he believes The Great One is in good enough shape to put on a 30 minute match at the Showcase of the Immortals.

“He really trains hard, and he has been able to keep his body young and active. When you watch him train, he does a lot of not just weight training and stuff, he does a lot of plyometrics and stuff like that. I believe that he could still wrestle. I believe if he wants to do it, he could put in a good 30-minute match at WrestleMania. I don’t doubt that for a second. He’s able to take care of his body as much as he has lately. I don’t see it being a problem for him.”

At this point there’s no way to know if The Rock will eventually return to the ring at some point, but it’s clear that wrestling world is ready for him if he wants to lace up the boots one more time.
