Jon Moxley has been a hot topic in the wrestling world recently as CM Punk took to Instagram to claim that Moxley refused to lose to him during their feud last summer. Moxley recently told his side of the story during an appearance on The Sessions with Renee Paquette and he’s also shared more insight on his AEW run so far.
Last year Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson and William Regal formed the Blackpool Combat Club and they ended up feuding with the Jericho Appreciation Society.
While talking about the Anarchy in the Arena match that went down at Double or Nothing in 2022, Jon Moxley noted that the original idea was to do another Stadium Stampede match, but he made it clear that he wanted no part of it.
“That was the whole idea behind Anarchy in the Arena (at Double or Nothing). They wanted do a Stadium Stampede again and I was like, ‘I ain’t doing that.’ That’s how the conversation started anyway. It was like, ‘I ain’t doing that’ or whatever. ‘Okay, if I was gonna do it, I would do it once in one take, live in front of the whole crowd’ and that was Anarchy in the Arena.”
Jon Moxley also shared his thoughts on the backstage drama in AEW, and you can get more on that here.
