John Cena Turns Heel At WWE Elimination Chamber

The Elimination Chamber premium live event emanated from Toronto on Saturday night, and John Cena punched his ticket to WrestleMania when he picked up the win in the men’s Elimination Chamber match. Cena got people talking with his big victory, but what happened after sent shockwaves throughout the wrestling world.

Last week The Rock made his return to SmackDown and he called Cody Rhodes out to the ring. The Final Boss told Cody that he wants him to be his champion. He then followed up by explaining that he doesn’t want Cody’s title, he wants his soul. Rock informed Cody that he had until Elimination Chamber to make his decision.

Shortly after Cena won the men’s Elimination Chamber match Cody Rhodes made his way out and they shook hands. Before Cena could leave The Rock’s music hit and Travis Scott made his way out with the WWE Hardcore Championship. The Rock then followed and Travis Scott walked with him to the ring.

The Final Boss and Travis Scott entered the ring and Rock stood face to face with Cody while Travis Scott and John Cena stood off to the side. Rock told Cody to embrace him as his brother, and he will embrace him as his champion. The People’s Champion demanded that Cody look him in the eyes, and told him if the answer is no, then tonight, “The Dream dies again.” Cena stood behind Cody and shook his head.

Cody got on the mic and said he wants it all. He told The Rock his soul no longer belongs to him because he gave his soul to the ring, and the people a long time ago. The fans cheered. Cody then said, “Hey Rock, go f*** yourself!” Cena got excited as he nodded with approval.

John Cena hugged Cody again as the fans cheered. While Cena was hugging Cody, he looked at the The Rock who made a slashing motion at his own throat. Cena delivered a low blow to Cody, then picked up Cody’s watch, put it on his hand, and proceeded to repeatedly punch Cody in the head. He picked up a microphone and slammed it into Cody’s head while The Rock and Travis Scott looked on.

Cena picked up the Undisputed WWE Championship and drove it into Cody’s head which busted him open. Cody got back up and Cena did it again. Cena ripped off Cody’s shirt and choked Cody with his own tie.

Travis Scott and Cena held Cody down as The Rock took off the “Cody’s Soul” weight belt and hit Cody with the belt. Cena then left with Travis Scott and The Rock as the show went off the air.
