John Cena recently made his return to WWE and shortly after his return was announced WWE confirmed that he would be teaming with Seth Rollins to take on Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci at Superstar Spectacle. Cena spent many years working as the face of the WWE, but it could easily be argued that Roman Reigns is the current face of the company.
While speaking with the media ahead of Superstar Spectacle, Sportskeeda asked John Cena if he thinks Roman Reigns is his successor, and he had some major praise for Roman when he said, “In my perspective I think Roman Reigns is the greatest of all time.”
John Cena and Roman Reigns have faced off twice in singles competition over the last few years with Reigns picking up wins over Cena at No Mercy in 2017 and SummerSlam in 2021.
Currently John Cena is scheduled to appear on Friday Night SmackDown through October 27, but it’s not clear if he could potentially cross paths with Roman Reigns during that period of time. One way or another it seems that The Tribal Chief has the support of the 16 time WWE Champion.
