John Cena punched his ticket to WrestleMania when he won the men’s Elimination Chamber match, but it was what he did after that really shocked the world. Following his big win John Cena turned heel when he destroyed Cody Rhodes and aligned himself with The Rock.

Fans have been waiting for an explanation, and John Cena was heavily booed when he kicked of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Brussels, Belgium. Cena had a very serious look on his face as he walked to the ring.

Cena grabbed a mic then walked around the ring for a while as the fans went back and forth with dueling chants of “let’s go Cena” and “Cena sucks.” He put the mic down on the mat and the fans booed even more. Cena picked it up as the fans chanted “you sold out” so he dropped the mic again.

Finally he spoke and said “when someone is properly grounded in life, they shouldn’t have to look outside themselves for approval.” The fans continued to chant over him and he said they’re making it so easy for him. Cena said that for 25 years he’s been the victim of an abusive relationship. He lashed out at the fans as he told them they lost their time to talk. He told the fans they’re abusive, and all they’ve done is bully him into being their puppet. The fans got upset and chanted “f*** you Cena.”

John Cena said he’s not a babyface, or a heel, he’s a human being, and each and every fan has been awful to him. He continued as he recalled how the fans loudly let him know how much he was hated when he first got to WWE. Cena explained that he tried to change himself for the fans, but it was never enough. He brought up how fans booed him when he started winning all the time, and once again said it was never enough for them. They chanted “shut the f*** up.”

Cena brought up how he announced his retirement tour because he wanted to do something nice for the fans, but they ruined it. They started singing the “na, na, na, na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye” song. Cena called them idiots and said that all they ever do is take.

He told the fans they’re getting nothing, they’re not getting a new look, or new music, because their time is finally up, and his time is finally now. Cena went on to say that the only thing the fans get is a long look in the mirror so they can see how awful they’ve been to him for 25 years. The fans chanted “we want Cody!”

John Cena pointed out some of the fans wearing his merchandise and called them “Let’s Go Cena People” then said that they’re just as awful because they take from him, and they made him the butt “of a stupid invisible joke.” He claimed his supporters use him as an excuse for their pathetic excuse of a life.

The former WWE Champion continued to say that the fans are a toxic relationship, so he’s breaking up with them. He told the fans they know he’s right, and they’re wrong.

Cody’s music hit and The American Nightmare made his way out into the arena. Cody stood up in the corner, did his pose, removed his jacket then got in the ring. He held up the title as the fans cheered then grabbed a mic. The fans made it very clear they were on Cody’s side.

Finally Cody spoke and told John Cena that the fans have given him their best for 25 years because Cena was special, and he could take it. Cena tried to speak as he said, “listen kid,” but Cody cut him off and said “it’s WWE Champion.”

Cody said he was excited at the prospect of going face to face with John Cena, but instead he got “this” and “this” better not show up at WrestleMania, or he’ll retire him early. He told John to go find John Cena because he wants to wrestle him at WrestleMania, “not this whiny b****.” The American Nightmare threw the mic at Cena then left.

John Cena was seething in the ring as he watched Cody walk away while the fans chanted his name. Cena then dropped the mic and left while the fans booed.
