During this week’s episode of Raw, John Cena had another war of words with Roman Reigns before their match at No Mercy next Sunday. Before the night was over, Cena also faced off against Braun Strowman for the first time, which may have been a huge mistake on his part.

The match between Cena and Strowman came to an end when the latter laid out Cena on the steel steps to force the disqualification. Despite losing the match, Braun looks strong heading into his own match with Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title at No Mercy.
Cena vs. Strowman successfully made Braun look stronger, but it also gave Cena a good reason to miss next week’s go-home episode of Raw before the event. It has been reported on Wrestling Observer Live that Cena is expected to miss next week’s show, and being laid out by Braun will be the explanation for his absence.
In reality, John Cena has some other commitments to keep next week that will force him to miss Raw. Heading into No Mercy, Roman Reigns will have the last word before he faces off with Cena next Sunday. He can say anything he wants, but there will be No Mercy on Sunday.
