NXT and AEW Dynamite have been going head to head on Wednesday nights for some time now, and most weeks AEW comes out ahead in the ratings.
It’s no big secret that WWE doesn’t like to acknowledge things outside of their own company, and on a recent episode of Grilling JR Jim Ross mentioned a tweet noting that some of his commentary from past Royal Rumbles had been taken out of WWE video packages.
Ross acknowledged that it wasn’t surprising, and he also commented on Triple H referencing AEW as a “piss ant” company at the WWE Hall of Fame when DX was inducted.
“That shouldn’t surprise you. It tells me they are aware of AEW very prominently even though they would not want to admit it. Triple H called us early on a ‘piss ant’ organization or something like that. This piss ant organization is beating NXT and we beat them soundly last week.”
