Originally The Hardys were set to compete in a triple threat ladder match tomorrow night at AEW Road Rager, but that won’t be happening. Jeff Hardy was arrested on Monday on multiple charges including his third DUI.
Fans have been waiting for AEW to make a public statement, and it’s not been confirmed that Jeff Hardy has been suspended without pay. The statement also noted that Jeff will only be able to return to the company after completing treatment and maintaining his sobriety.
AEW President Tony Khan confirmed the suspension when he issued the following statement in response to the arrest:
“We were able to resume contact with Jeff Hardy this afternoon. AEW does not condone Jeff’s alleged behavior. We’ve made it clear to Jeff that we’ll assist him in getting treatment for substance abuse issues, which he has indicated that he’s open to receiving. In the interim, he is suspended without pay, and he can only return to AEW upon successfully completing treatment and maintaining his sobriety. If you or a loved one needs help, please reach out to SAMHSA’s National Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357).”

There’s currently no word on whether or not The Young Bucks and Jurassic Express will compete in an AEW World Tag Team Title match tomorrow at Road Rager, or if AEW could be replacing The Hardys with another team, but the match is no longer being advertised.
