James Ellsworth has come a long way over the past few months. Ellsworth made his WWE debut in the summer of 2016, and he formed an instant connection with the fans that was strong enough to score him a contract with the company. Perhaps what makes James Ellsworth such a fan favorite is the fact that he’s still a big wrestling fan himself, and it shows. In honor of #ThrowbackThursday, James Ellsworth decided to give fans a glimpse at his earlier days, and he shared a photo of himself rocking a DX shirt at 13 years old.
James Ellsworth wasn’t the only member of the WWE roster who shared a #ThrowbackThursday photo this week. Current SmackDown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss also decided to get in on the fun when shared a photo of her younger self complete with pigtails and a Panic! At The Disco shirt.
Bliss says she was going through a Panic! At The Disco phase at the time, and according to the caption she’s still going through it. She also pointed out that she’s still rocking pigtails to this very day.
Last but not least the number 1 contender for the Raw Women’s Championship, Bayley, shared a photo in honor of #FlashbackFriday, and her photo was a little more wrestling-centric compared to Alexa’s.
Bayley showed off a photo of herself taking a selfie in front of some of her favorite wrestling posters, and fans will recognize several top names from The Attitude Era in the background.
Bayley is set to challenge Charlotte for the Raw Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble on January 29, and Alexa Bliss will be defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch in a steel cage match on SmackDown next week.
As for James Ellsworth, he’s been busy helping Carmella win her matches, and he seems to be holding out hope that he’ll be able to lock lips with the Staten Island Princess someday.
