The Night of Champions premium live event kicked off with the King of the Ring finals, and Oba Femi managed to defeat Jey Uso to become the King of the Ring. The action continued with the second match as Iyo Sky and Liv Morgan faced off in the Queen of the Ring finals.

Ahead of the match Danhausen was cutting a promo when Liv Morgan’s music hit. Liv got in his face and told Danhausen that he owes The Judgment Day a lot of money, and if they don’t get it back bad things are going to happen to him. Danhausen then cursed Liv Morgan, so she slapped him before she walked to the ring.

Early on in the match the action spilled to the outside and Liv Morgan sent Iyo face first into the ring post. Liv then dominated the match for the next few minutes.

Eventually Iyo made a comeback and hit Liv Morgan with a moonsault from the second rope on the outside. She threw Liv back into the ring and connected with a double underhook backbreaker for a two count.

Iyo went to the top rope for a moonsault, but Liv pushed her off and Iyo jammed her knee when she landed on the steps. Liv put Iyo in a half crab submission hold. Iyo tried to get to the ropes, but Liv pulled her back to the middle of the ring. Sky managed to break the hold and they exchanged strikes.

Liv jumped off the second rope and hit Iyo with a Codebreaker. She went for Oblivion, but Iyo moved out of the way and Liv got caught up in the ropes. Iyo went for a leg drop and Liv got out of the way. Iyo continued to sell a potential knee injury.

They went to the top rope and Iyo hit a Spanish Fly followed by an Over The Moonsault for a three count to win the match. After the match Byron Saxton interviewed Iyo and she announced that she will be challenging Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam.
