This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw ended with the Lana/Bobby Lashley wedding, and there were quite a few surprises throughout the segment.

The biggest surprise that got everyone talking was when Liv Morgan returned and confessed her love for Lana.

The wrestling community has been talking about the angle ever since it aired, but Impact Wrestling star Joey Ryan made it clear that he doesn’t support WWE using homosexuality for shock value when he posted the following:

“This is so bad. And the talent isn’t at fault, it falls on the writers. Using gay for shock value perpetrates the idea that it is unusual or odd which keeps stereotypes alive. No wonder WWE struggles to find a millennial audience.”

Moose also chimed in and noted that he thinks the topic of homosexuality should be used in more wrestling storylines.

“I think this falls in the same category as intergender wrestling as entertainment. It’s wrestling. Besides homosexuality is normal. We should include it more in wrestling storylines as not all love story is heterosexual.”
