Hulk Hogan and WWE are in somewhat of an awkward situation. It’s like if you still really like your ex but you’re afraid what your friends will think if you get back together with them. Only, in this case, WWE’s friends are their advertisers and other corporate interests. But with Hulk Hogan apparently ready to spread the message of forgiveness, he appeared at the Andre The Giant documentary’s premiere and looked like one of the family.
Although Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Live that Hogan was a guest of HBO and not WWE, he certainly had a chance to rub elbows with WWE’s elite as the press snapped plenty of photos.
The documentary is said to be outstanding and I can’t wait to see it. Only time will tell if WWE and Hulk Hogan will be able to work something out, but it doesn’t look likely he’ll be showing up to WrestleMania if WWE’s recent statement on the matter is any indication of things.
We can only hope WWE posting a picture of Hulk Hogan on the red carpet shaking hands with The Big Show is a good sign. Jimmy Hart was also in attendance and it’s always great to see him too.
Rey Mysterio was also there which is excellent because he’s also said to be close to coming back as well. The situation between Rey Mysterio and WWE isn’t as complicated though because it’s probably just a matter of waiting until the time is right and Mysterio is all healed up at this point.
Let’s hope all this hype for the Andre The Giant documentary is worth it. The documentary will air on HBO on Tuesday, April 10th at 10:00 pm so you’ll have to switch straight over from SmackDown Live to catch the whole thing. Seeing how this documentary is airing directly following the SmackDown Live after WrestleMania, you probably won’t want to miss the Blue Brand’s first episode after the Show Of Shows. But his documentary should probably be on any wrestling fan’s watchlist.
“Did you hear about the ratings for #Roseanne? People are loving revivals brother! Picture it…New episodes of Thunder in Paradise on #WWE Network!” – Hulk Hogan
