This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was Night 2 of Fyter Fest and the show featured a big main event which saw Jon Moxley defend the IWGP United States Championship against Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match.
The end of the match came when Jon Moxley set up two tables on the outside of the ring and put barbed wire planks on top of the tables. Moxley grabbed Lance Archer and pulled him to the apron, and when Moxley went to put Archer through the tables Archer pulled out a fork and started stabbing Moxley in the head.
Lance Archer then slammed Moxley through the two tables with barbed wire, and Moxley failed to get up before the 10 count. Archer was then crowned new IWGP United States Champion as Hikuleo got in the ring and confronted him to end the show.
Archer is now a two time IWGP United States Champion.
