Business has been picking up in the AEW tag team division recently as The Gunns won the AEW Tag Team Titles last month and FTR returned to TV at the Revolution pay-per-view a few weeks ago. This week on AEW Dynamite, The Gunns successfully defended their titles against Top Flight and FTR made their way to the ring after the match.
FTR made it clear that they want a titles shot, but The Gunns told them that since they lost three sets of belts, and they already lost to The Gunns, there’s nothing they can do to earn a shot at the AEW Tag Team Titles.
Cash Wheeler told them if The Gunns win then FTR will never team up again in AEW, but that wasn’t enough. Dax Harwood then said that if they can’t beat The Gunns for the AEW Tag Team Titles they will leave AEW. The Gunns then accepted the deal and shook on it before spitting in the faces of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. The Gunns then left the ring. It was not confirmed exactly when FTR will be getting their title shot.
FTR took some time off from TV before returning at Revolution and Dax Harwood has claimed that their deals with AEW will be expiring in April. There’s been a lot of speculation regarding their next move, but so far nothing has been confirmed. Dax recently took to Twitter to say that he and Cash have made their decision. However, he did not reveal what comes next for FTR. One way or another it will be interesting to see how things play out for FTR in the weeks to come.
