Triple H teased earlier that a former WWE Champion would be returning tonight. He tweeted the following:
“Coming off of #MITB, let’s keep the momentum going. Tonight a #WWE Champion returns on #RAW…”
WWE has also been teasing the return as they posted:
“Details on this potential return are scarce, but WWE.com sources say that this ring warrior is a cross-platform entertainer who has found numerous successes outside of the squared circle. Who could it be?”
PWInsider reports that the former WWE Champion returning tonight on RAW is Chris Jericho.
Jericho is also scheduled to appear on tomorrow’s night’s SmackDown tapings in Newark, NJ.
