brock lesnar

Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Universal Champion, and he’s been pushed as a top star ever since he made his return to the company in 2012. WWE officials have worked hard to make Brock look unstoppable, but it seems that they may be taking a different approach heading into WrestleMania 34.

There’s been a lot of speculation that Brock could be UFC bound after his WWE contract expires, and Dana White helped to fuel the speculation when he posted a photo of himself with Brock Lesnar on Elimination Chamber Sunday.

WWE is trying to make it seem that Brock Lesnar is interested in staying, but apparently it’s a different situation backstage.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE officials are going with the idea that Brock is leaving when his contract expires, and the mentality right now is to downplay him on his way out the door so that if does leave it won’t seem like such a big loss.

The plan is to set it up so that fans celebrate Brock’s departure, as opposed to feeling like the company just lost one of their top stars.

As we’ve seen on TV recently, Roman Reigns has been trying to portray Brock as someone who doesn’t care about WWE or the fans.

The hope is that Roman will get a positive babyface reaction from the fans after he beats Lesnar and sends him packing.

In regards to how the fans will react to Brock in the weeks to come, Monday’s episode of Raw should give us all a better idea of what we can expect.
