It’s been a wild few days for CM Punk as he successfully defended the Real AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe at All In, but shortly after it was reported that Punk got into a physical altercation with Jack Perry before the match.

Sports Illustrated recently reported that both CM Punk and Jack Perry had been suspended from AEW, but earlier today Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful noted that Punk had not been informed of the suspension.

Haus of Wrestling has since shared an update claiming that while no one from AEW directly told CM Punk about the suspension, he was informed by his lawyer before the news started making the rounds this morning.

It was recently reported that there had not been contact between CM Punk and Tony Khan following All Out, and that still seems to be the case. There is currently a pending investigation due to the altercation between Punk and Perry, so it’s being said that CM Punk’s status for Dynamite, Collision and All Out in Chicago is very much in the air.
