hardys

The Hardys returned to WWE at WrestleMania 33, and they basically went straight from their car to the ring. Their grand entrance didn’t leave them much time to catch up with the other members of the WWE roster, but they did have a short exchange with Vince McMahon.

Matt and Jeff Hardy recently spoke to SPORTBible about their return, and according to Matt, Vince was happy to see The Hardys come home.

“It was cool, it was very quick – the first time we saw him [Vince] physically face-to-face was in ‘Gorilla Position’ right before we went out and it was ‘Hey, good to have you home, hug, hug’ and then it was out to the ring to go and partake in a ladder match.”

Right now The Hardys are the current Raw Tag Team Champions, but there are many people on the current WWE roster that the brothers have never faced. There are a lot of dream matches awaiting them when they return to singles competition, and they’re already planning ahead.

Matt and Jeff haven’t been shy about telling the world that they want to break out into singles competition in WWE eventually, and Matt has an interesting list of opponents in mind for himself and his brother.

“Just for starters, if we get to where we need to be, I think ‘Broken’ Matt Hardy against Bray Wyatt would be an amazing deal, and you look at him [Jeff] – him vs Seth Rollins, him vs Finn Balor, either one of us vs Roman Reigns – there’s a lot of cool, interesting combinations of guys who became stars in the last five or six years that we’ve never worked against, it’s totally like a fresh slate. So there’s a lot of potential forces as singles competitors also.”

Who do you want to see Matt and Jeff Hardy feud with when they eventually split up? Sound off in the comments below.

  1. I don’t want “eventual split up”. I’m actually pretty tired of them splitting up factions and tag teams. It’s not necessary. If the Road Warriors can stay together why can’t other teams?

  2. Because the road warriors didn’t make any money separately bro both of these guys are worth mountains of cash as just Jeff hardy and “broken” Matt hardy and add to the fact that they have been tagging together longer than the road warriors even knew each other

  3. why can’t you have 2 guys who have singles careers but are also part of a permanent tag team.If this was real, everybody would do that! it’s another trophy to win, like doubles in Tennis. You don’t see for example the williams sisters shirking doubles because it’s not the biggest title, pro athletes want to win everything!
