Seth Rollins is currently one of the top stars in the WWE and it’s safe to say that his success was earned as he worked hard to get where he is today. It seems that his path to success didn’t come without difficulties as he seemingly clashed with people in power when he first arrived.

During a Q&A session for AdFreeShows.com, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg was asked about independent talent having bad habits when they joined WWE. Road Dogg then talked about Seth Rollins’ early days with the company, and he noted that at first Rollins was stubborn when asked to make changes to his in-ring work.

“His bad habit was not saying, ‘Okay, thank you sir,’ or whatever and being respectful and then not doing what I said like every other young wrestler. At least pretend to respect what I’m telling you, you know what I mean? And what I was telling him was right. He did change it, and he did come up with something that was more [of] a bigger pop than the set-up to it.”

“They had a ‘come to Jesus’ speech with him down there. And he changed his whole philosophy and perspective on how he was looking at stuff, and look at him now, man. On top of the world, doing some of his best work too, I might add.”

It seems that a change in attitude did Seth Rollins good as he became the first ever NXT Champion and has held numerous championships on the main roster as well. WWE has not yet announced Seth’s opponent for SummerSlam, but there’s speculation that he’ll be facing Riddle at WWE’s biggest party of the summer. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
