Recently a number of WWE stars have been released including Cedric Alexander, Elektra Lopez, Authors of Pain and Blair Davenport to name a few. WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently discussed Blair Davenport’s release on Busted Open Radio, and he suggested that WWE might have released Davenport due to previous comments Will Ospreay made about Triple H.

“Dave, remember how I’ve always said that pro wrestling is like the mafia? They don’t screw with you, they screw with your family. Maybe Will Ospreay never should’ve made those comments about Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.”

While Ospreay and Davenport were previously in a long term relationship, they are no longer together, and split up years ago. Despite the fact that Opsreay and Davenport are no longer a couple, Bully continued to state that the release may have had something to do with Ospreay’s comments.

“Sure it would, absolutely it would, without a doubt. Whether or not they’re together, I don’t know, they could’ve been together at one time. But yes, it absolutely would have something to do with it. Don’t kid yourself. You’ve never spent a day in the WWE. You don’t know how they work.”

Last year after Will Ospreay signed with AEW, Triple H made some comments which got the wrestling world talking when he said, “If you’re not in it for the grind at that point early in your career, you have no business being here.”

Triple H didn’t directly mention Will Ospreay by name, but Ospreay followed up by addressing the comments on Dynamite when said that “The guy that said it is only in the position he’s in because he was grinding on the boss’s daughter.”
