Bill Goldberg is set to face off against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, and it will be his first match since he faced Brock at WrestleMania 20 in 2004. Goldberg has been out of the ring for over 12 years now, and Goldberg was showing a little ring rust on a recent episode of Raw.
After spending so many years away from the ring, Goldberg has been training hard to make up for lost time. He recently spoke to the Wall Street Journal, and he talked about what went wrong when he tripped in the ring.
“I tripped in the ring in my second appearance back, and I don’t do that. I kinda attributed it to overtraining. Maybe something like that had to happen to tell me that I was overtraining. God has a very special way of letting us know what he wants. It was a sign for me, and I backed off a little bit.”
