Tuesday night the 900th episode of SmackDown aired on the USA network, and Team SmackDown met Edge in the ring for The Cutting Edge near the end of the show. The members of Team SmackDown talked back and forth with Edge for a while, and then the team started to get angry with each other. That’s when the lights went out, and The Undertaker’s music hit.

The Undertaker arrived to “Holy S**T!” chants from the crowd, and then he addressed Team SmackDown. The Undertaker grabbed the mic and said that there’s no better man to be the Commissioner of SmackDown, than the man without fear, and he pointed at Shane McMahon.

He then said that WrestleMania will no longer define him. He said he’s back, and he’s taking souls and digging holes. He said that Survivor Series is where he was born, and SmackDown will always be his home. Taker didn’t give any indication as to when he will wrestle again, but judging from his comments, it appears that he intends to step back in the ring before WrestleMania next year.

The Undertaker then told Team SmackDown that there’s no reason for them to fail at Survivor Series, but if they fail, they will have to fear the Deadman. Taker added that Team Raw better rest in peace. After that Taker’s music hit and the show ended.
