It’s been rumored that Goldberg has been talking to WWE about a possible return, and Goldberg was the special guest for the Off The Top Rope segment this week on SportsCenter.

Goldberg talked about WWE 2K17 and said that his relationship with the company has been tumultuous over the years, but he said he’s a different person now. He said he’s very appreciative of 2K, and WWE for giving him the opportunity to appear in the game.

Coach asked him if there’s anything he regrets about his WWE run. Goldberg said he had a tumultuous time, and he wishes he was a little more mature at the time. He said that he doesn’t regret anything and he’s grateful for the opportunity.

Goldberg was then asked about his current relationship with Vince McMahon, he told Coach he hasn’t spoken to Vince since he left the business. He added that he’s sure they’ll speak sometime soon, and he owes Vince a handshake.

Jonathan Coachman then finally stopped beating around the bush and he asked Goldberg if he will be returning to the ring. Goldberg played up his age and said it’s something he has to think about. He said at 49 years old there’s a possibility he could lose his legacy.

Goldberg added that he really wants to do it, but he’s not sure if it’s the best idea. He then changed the subject to WWE 2K17.

Coach asked him who he would want to work with if he did return. Goldberg told Coach he owes Brock Lesnar a rematch, and if he ever came back, that would be the match he would want.

Goldberg was then asked how long it would take him to prepare for a return. He told Coach he doesn’t know, and he has a lot of soul searching to do. He then told Coach to give him until the end of the year.

The two then joked about their match together to end the segment.
