Goldberg is the current Universal Champion, and he’s set to walk into WrestleMania with the gold around his waist when he defends against Roman Reigns at the Show of Shows.
Bill is on good terms with WWE now, but he has an interesting history with the company, and his first run with WWE came to an end after he wrestled Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 20.
The fans knew that both Brock and Goldberg were leaving WWE after WrestleMania 20, so both men received a very negative reaction from the fans at Madison Square Garden.
Goldberg shared his true feelings about getting booed by the fans while speaking with Inside The Ropes and he admitted that it hurt him.
“It was tough, though. It was tough. It hurt my heart, you know. I mean, we went out there. I completely understand. But, you know, you don’t feel appreciated when you are in the ring and people are booing you and you are trying to give it your best.”
Goldberg spent many years away from the ring following the PPV, but he finally returned for a rematch with Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series in 2016.
