Goldberg certainly created quite the legacy for himself by dominating the competition in WCW, and he still returns to WWE from time to time to face off with some of the company’s top stars.
One name who’s been getting compared to Goldberg a lot over the last few years is none other than TNT Champion Wardlow. Goldberg recently addressed the comparisons in an interview with Bleacher Report, and he showed support for the up and coming AEW star.
“I understand the comparisons. I haven’t seen him work that much, but hey man, more power to him. There needs to be more characters like that. There needs to be serious intensity out there. Hey, there’s people that slice meat and there’s people that eat meat, right? And he needs to be eating meat.”
“Yeah man, I don’t know. I’ve never read anything about a comparison from him and how he passes judgment on it, but at the end of the day, anybody that’s close to the top in their prospective business to be compared with myself, that’s an honor and a privilege.”
Goldberg recently revealed that he is still under contract with WWE, but it remains to be seen if the company has any plans to bring him back. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
