For many years fans believed that Bill Goldberg would never return to WWE, but he proved everyone wrong when he returned for face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series in 2016.

Goldberg’s feud with Lesnar went on for several months, but the night after WrestleMania 33 he said goodbye. It’s been rumored that the former WWE Universal Champion could be in line for a Hall of Fame induction next year, and he recently told Chris Van Vliet of WSVN-TV that he hasn’t closed the door on another match.

“You never know. You really don’t. I ain’t dead yet and I ain’t even close. So as long as I’ve got two arms and two legs and I can still do my thing, never say never.”

In 2004 Goldberg was booed out of the building when he faced Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 20 because fans knew that both men were leaving the company. Goldberg went on to face Brock Lesnar once again at WrestleMania 33, and he noted that both he and Lesnar wanted to redeem themselves.

“The fans turned on us and as well they should have because why are they going to cheer for two guys who are out the door the next day. So there was something in the back of our minds but redeeming ourselves was not something that we ever spoke about. We knew as monsters that we did not get the reaction that we would have wanted to. The reality is if you look at the match, it was a good match. But it could have been the best match in the world that went on for an hour and people still would have hated it because of the circumstances.”
