Goldberg made his return to the ring at Survivor Series in 2016, and he made short work of Brock Lesnar in the main event. He later declared that he will be entering the Royal Rumble, and now we’re only a few days away from the big event.

Goldberg isn’t the only big star in the Royal Rumble, as this year’s match is loaded with names such as The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and more. Lesnar, Taker and Goldberg met in the middle of the ring this week on Raw, and Goldberg recently told SportingNews.com that he’s looking forward to clashing with The Undertaker in the Royal Rumble match.

“Yeah. I knew him before he got in the business. We were friends before he started wrestling. It’s amazing that we haven’t been in the same ring together before. I will honestly say that he’s probably the one I’m looking forward to introducing myself in ring more than anyone.”

Although the match isn’t confirmed at this point, it’s expected that Goldberg will face off against Brock Lesnar once again at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.

Brock Lesnar and Goldberg clashed nearly 13 years ago at WrestleMania 20 in 2004, but their WrestleMania match was panned by fans who knew that both men were leaving the company once the bell rang. All of the negativity surrounding Goldberg and Brock Lesnar at the time certainly hurt the match, but Goldberg says that if he gets the chance to do it again he hopes to put on a performance that people will be happy with.

“If I ever got the opportunity to do it again, it would give me an opportunity to rewrite history. I hopefully would go out in a better way this time at WrestleMania than last in that the match would be better well-received. Obviously, I was happy that I won it but, at the end of the day, you want people to be happy with your performance.”

WWE announced last week that Kurt Angle is set to become a Hall of Famer during WrestleMania weekend. WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus wrote about Kurt’s induction on TrishStratus.com, and she had nothing but good things to say about Angle.

“I am so happy to hear that Kurt is going to be inducted. He is one of the industry’s best in the ring and had one of the most memorable (and lovable!) characters! I am honored to have had the chance to work with him and call him a friend.”
