On the final segment of Monday Night Raw Big Cass was finally revealed as the mastermind behind all of the backstage attacks against Enzo Amore and himself. To be fair Big Cass was never really attacked either as he was shown to fake his own ambush thanks to the superior journalistic ability of Corey Graves.
Now the issue comes of what is next for Enzo and Big Cass as they go their separate ways. On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer noted a few issues WWE might face in finding new places for these two popular superstars.
For one it’s hard to hate on Big Cass because just about everything he said in his promo on Enzo was the truth. He didn’t stretch much and said things pretty matter-of-factly. Enzo is a little annoying and constantly gets himself in trouble with what he says. If you go way back with the tag team you can see how it’s always been Enzo’s fault that the team didn’t pull down a set of titles in NXT or WWE. It just makes us wonder how long WWE has been planning their breakup.
Big Cass just had enough of it so he laid it all out and kicked his little buddy’s head off his shoulders. Meltzer noted these two probably won’t be in a long-term feud with each other either. WWE might tie up loose ends, but don’t expect an Enzo and Big Cass rivalry to go on for months. Things could always change but Big Cass will probably see himself finding a new home as a heel and Enzo will most likely be lucky to get on television.
The fact is this needed to happen so Big Cass could break out on his own which was the primary objective achieved. This is a very interesting development but in the end it probably won’t see these two having much to do with each other after the dust settles.
Logic would dictate Enzo will be keeping their OG entrance since it’s his voice on the song with Big Cass getting a heelish new entrance theme soon enough.
There might be a time when Big Cass will be expected to explain his actions further but he already did a pretty good job of it on Monday night.
Enzo Amore might have a shot in 205 Live, but other than that it’s hard to see Amore holding much of a position on the roster now that his partnership with Big Cass is over unless they can figure out someone else to pair him up with.
