Throughout the history of WWE there have been a number of wrestlers who have aspired to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Back in 2007, The Great Khali etched his name in the history books when he won a 20 man battle royal to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. While Khali has found success in the professional wrestling world it appears that his time in the ring is over.

During a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, The Great Khali was asked if he’s retired from wrestling, and he confirmed his retirement when he said, “Yeah.”

When asked if he would potentially return for a Royal Rumble spot, The Great Khali said, “You never know. Maybe WWE will ask me one day if I can go. Just 1-2 days, not full-time, never, because of my knee, so I can’t go full time.”

The Great Khali also indicated that at some point he wants to undergo surgery on his knees. He noted that sometimes he is in pain when walking or using stairs when he added, “I’m sitting in no pain. But when I especially take the stairs there’s pain, and when I stand for a long time, there’s pain. Otherwise, I’m fine. This is okay. I can do exercise, I can do anything, only when I walk and take stairs, there is pain.”

Khali last stepped into the ring on 4/27/2018 when he entered the Greatest Royal Rumble match at the Greatest Royal Rumble premium live event in Saudi Arabia.
