In recent weeks WWE has cut a number of wrestlers such as Giovanni Vinci, Cedric Alexander, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows to name a few. The company also informed Sonya Deville that her contract would not be renewed despite the fact that she had recently been negotiating a new deal.
At this point it doesn’t seem that Sonya Deville knows for sure what the future holds for her wrestling career as she recently explained on the Made It Out podcast that she’s still figuring things out.
“I don’t know if wrestling is over for me yet, so that’s something that I’m figuring out right now too and I’m giving myself the time to really decide what the next moves are. But we have some really fun things in the works that I’m excited to share with everybody.”
Even though Sonya Deville had been negotiating a new contract with WWE, she made it clear that she’s at peace with the situation following her departure from the company.
“I’m very in the mentality of nothing happens to you, it happens for you. So I don’t have an ounce of anger, regret. Even the sadness, the sadness is just missing the moments, but the sadness isn’t like, ‘Oh my God, I want to be back there right this second.’ It truly isn’t.
“It’s Like ‘No, I’m so at peace with What’s happening because I’m such a strong believer in the Universe.’ Whatever the powers that be are, I’m a believer. Because I know that everything is going to be okay.”
