There are a number of power couples in the world of professional wrestling and right now it seems that one lucky couple has a big reason to celebrate.
On the most recent episode of the Charlie Girl podcast, Dakota Kai showed off her ring and announced that she is now engaged to Karl Fredericks. According to Dakota Kai, Fredericks proposed in Sanford, Florida on their two year anniversary.

It was noted that Sanford is the city where the couple went on their second date. Kai also noted that Fredericks had asked her parents for permission to propose when the couple went to New Zealand for Christmas.
Karl Fredericks previously performed in NXT under the name Eddy Thorpe. Both Dakota Kai and Fredericks were released from the company in May of 2025. Following his release from WWE, Fredericks returned to the independent circuit. Dakota Kai took a break from professional wrestling, but returned to the ring back in March under the name Charlie when she challenged Kris Statlander for the EVE International Title in London, England. Currently both Fredericks and Dakota Kai are free agents.
