Business has certainly picked up for Nick Aldis in recent weeks as he’s been involved in a heated rivalry with Gunther. Recently Triple H confirmed that Gunther and Nick Aldis will face off against one another at SummerSlam, and last week on SmackDown the two stars signed the contract for their big match.
As Nick Aldis was signing the contract it was announced that Aldis will no longer be SmackDown General Manager now that he has chosen to step up and face The Ring General at SummerSlam. Following the announcement there’s been a lot of speculation regarding who could take on the role next.
A fan on social media recently suggested that Carmella should take on the role, and the former champion seemingly indicated that she’s interested when she posted the following response:

Carmella originally signed with WWE in 2013 and she remained with the company until her contract expired in 2025. Throughout her run with the company she became the first ever women’s Money in the Bank winner and went on to become a one time SmackDown Women’s Champion and a one time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
