The last few years have been an exciting time for the world of professional wrestling as there’s been a lot of movement. A number of former WWE stars have jumped ship to AEW, and more recently we’ve seen several former AEW stars jump to WWE.
During a recent appearance on the Bill Simmons Podcast, WWE President Nick Khan stated that the assumption is more AEW stars will be signing with WWE once their contracts expire.
“In terms of the other wrestling promotional company, they have a lot of talented wrestlers and we’re happy about that. When, contractually, they are available to talk to and have conversations with, assume a number of them will come over. Nothing but respect to the father who finances it and owns the Jaguars and all those other things,” Nick Khan said.
A tweet featuring the quote caught the attention of Ricochet who responded to Nick Khan’s quote with a comment which said, “Oh man, these guys f*****g suck. ”
Ricochet finished up with WWE last year as he decided to let his contract expire instead of signing a new deal. He went on to make his debut with AEW at the All In pay-per-view in August of 2024 and has been regularly featured on AEW programming since then. Recently Ricochet indicated that WWE wasn’t interested in using his creative ideas when he was with the company, and you can get more on that here.
