This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite took place from Albany, NY and it looks like an interesting name was backstage for the event. PWInsider is reporting that Scott “Taylor” Garland, better known to wrestling fans as Scotty Too Hotty, was at the Dynamite taping on Wednesday night.

According to the report the former WWE Tag Team Champion was working as a Coach/Producer for All Elite Wrestling. Scotty Too Hotty previously worked as a coach at the WWE Performance Center, but he resigned from the position in 2022. It’s being said that Scotty Too Hotty is being brought into AEW for a tryout and he will likely be around for the next several weeks.

Following his WWE departure in 2022, Scotty returned to the independent circuit. He started working with WWE in the coaching role in 2016 and when he first announced that he was parting ways with the company he issued the following:

“Today, I have asked for my release from World Wrestling Entertainment. 30 years ago I stepped into a WWE ring for the very first time. I have lived my dream 100 times over. Some of my most special memories will always be from the last five years working with NXT. The black and gold brand was something special and I am proud to have been a small part of that. I always promised myself that I would never be part of something solely for the paycheck and that was where I was at. I told myself that I would walk away if I ever got to that point, so that is what I have chosen to do.

Coaching and producing the stars of NXT will always be a highlight of my life. I love you all more than you will ever know.”
