John Hennigan (formerly known as John Morrison in WWE) has been a hot topic on social media this weekend as he knocked out Epic Meal Time YouTuber Harley Morenstein in a boxing match at Creator Clash 2. After picking up a victory over Harley Morenstein, Hennigan went on to call out KSI for a potential fight.
It seems that Harley Morenstein wasn’t the only opponent on the table for Hennigan’s fight at Creator Clash 2 as John Hennigan explained to TMZ that organizers for the event pitched the idea of him facing Matt Cardona (formerly known as Zack Ryder) but Cardona refused.
“Let me tell you something about Matt Cardona. So, they asked me if I’d be willing to fight Harley (Morenstein) or Matt Cardona, and I asked him if he wanted to fight and he goes, ‘Bro, I’m not gonna fight anyone.”
“I’m definitely not gonna fight you. Bro, no. Are you crazy? No, I’m not gonna fight.’ But, literally, he was like my first phone call. They wanted me to fight broski.”
Despite the fact that Matt Cardona didn’t seem to be interested in the boxing match he still took a moment to congratulate John Hennigan after his victory when he posted the following on Twitter:
