For decades Vince McMahon was the most powerful person in professional wrestling, but his reign came to an end over the summer when the former Chairman and CEO of WWE officially announced his retirement. Triple H is now in charge of WWE creative and it seems that The Game is taking a different approach.
Dutch Mantell recently appeared on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s SmackTalk and he talked about the transition of power in WWE. During the appearance Mantell noted that Vince McMahon’s temper was sometimes difficult for people in creative to deal with.
“I did hear that morale of the writing staff in WWE is much higher now. I guess it’s because they are not getting cussed out by Vince! And I think Triple H encourages them and is easy to talk to. You see Vince, you never know what kind of mood he’s gonna be in. He’s not going to hit anybody, but he had such a mouth, he had such a temper, and I’ve never been on the receiving end of it, but I’ve seen some guys and it’s not fun to watch.”
Over the last few months Triple H has been making changes to WWE programming and bringing former Superstars back to the company, so it will be interesting to see where things go from here. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
