John Cena was the face of WWE for over a decade, but the 16 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion has since moved on to focus on other things.
It’s no big secret that WWE has had a tough time building up the next big star in Cena’s absence, and it appears that some people in the company don’t believe there will be another top star to fill Cena’s shows.
Ryback discussed his contract negotiations with Triple H during an episode of The Ryback Show, and he noted that The Game told him WWE will never have another marquee star.
“This goes back when I was there and Hunter told me…when I was in that top position, or working in that top position; and then the contract negotiations were coming up.
“[Triple H] goes, ‘Ryan,’ and he was just shooting me straight, he goes; ‘we’re never gonna have another marquee name after [John] Cena ever again. He’s the last one.”
Do you think WWE will ever have another star as big as John Cena? Sound off in the comments below.
