It looks like another wrestler is in trouble with the law as The Hindustan Times is reporting that Saurav Gurjar, formerly known to WWE fans as Sanga, has been arrested in connection with a sexual exploitation case that was filed by a 29 year old woman.
The woman who made the accusations approached Gachibowli police on August 15th. According to the report Saurav Gurjar was detained at Mumbai airport on September 17th after police issued a Look Out Circular against him. He was then taken to Hyperabad and remanded to 14 days in judicial custody.
The woman claims that she first met Saurav Gurjar through Instagram in 2021, and started a relationship that took place in the United States and India. Saurav informed her that he was married, but promised he would settle down with her. In the complaint the woman making the accusations stated, “During the course of our relationship, the accused disclosed that he was already married. He repeatedly promised to give me wife-like rights and eventually settle down with me.”
She also claimed that Saurav blocked her when she brought up marriage as she added, “He used to block me on the phone/social media and disappear without any prior information. I suffered mental harassment, emotional distress and financial loss, including losing my job after I left my employment in the US to stay with him.”
In the complaint the woman notes that Saurav convinced her to leave her job in the United States and claimed they would start a business togethrr in Hyperabad. She claims he didn’t follow through with those promises after she left her job and moved to India. She also claims that they lived together from October of 2025 through March of 2026, and she approached the police due to the issues with their relationship, and alleged promises.
According to the report, Gachibowli police registered a case under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which states, “Whoever, by deceitful means or by making promise to marry a woman without any intention of fulfilling the same, and has sexual intercourse with her, such sexual intercourse not amounting to the offence of rape, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years and shall also be liable to fine.”
While confirming the arrest Gachibowli inspector K Saidulu said, “We also issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against him. On the night of September 17, he was intercepted by immigration officials at Mumbai airport when he arrived from the Middle East. Our team brought him to Hyderabad on Saturday and produced him before a magistrate, who remanded him to judicial custody on Sunday.”
Saurav Gurjar has been remanded to 14 days in judicial custody, but as of this writing the allegations are still under investigation, and the investigation is ongoing.
Gurjar first signed with WWE in 2018 and went on to use the name Sanga. Alongside Veer Mahaan he formed the Indus Sher tag team. In 2023 they were called up to the WWE main roster, and Sanga was later released in April of 2024.
